By this point, people with a rational point of view can, sadly, expect the mainstream media to be nauseatingly biased against conservatives. One unexpected and truly absurd development of the past year and a half, however, is the way that sports reporters have jumped on this same bandwagon.

Instead of merely reporting about college and professional sports, which have nothing to do with sports whatsoever, sports media outlets such as ESPN have been going out of their way to inject sharp criticism of Republican President Donald Trump into their coverage, including shaming sports figures who support Trump. Thankfully, a number of athletes have struck back, including Washington Redskins starting quarterback Kirk Cousins.

ESPN reporter Marc Spears recently tried to stir the pot against Trump by starting a rumor that the NBA champion Golden State Warriors would turn down a visit to the White House, saying, “The Warriors just put out a statement saying no decision has been made, but I talked to Draymond Green last night. He said he wasn’t going. David West said he wasn’t going. And I also got a text from somebody else within the team that said they would be surprised if any of the players went. Who knows when that date will be, but this has been a team that, you know, is pretty woke, especially their coach. I would be shocked if he attended. He has been about as hard on the president as anybody.”

Kirk Cousins, however, demonstrated that he puts his patriotism above all else by accepting President Donald Trump’s invitation to play a round of golf with him at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminister, New Jersey. Kirk stated that it was an honor he could not pass up, saying, “Great experience. I didn’t ever think that would happen.”

He added, “Had a good enough time that if there’s any former presidents in the D.C. area that want to give me a call, I’d love to meet them at one of the courses around here. I know lots of them are members at these courses and I’m not, so I’d love to get on and get to met them. Republican, Democrat, left, right, I’d love an invite.” Do you think Cousins has more common sense and open-mindedness than ESPN bigots?
