During the course of the 2016 presidential campaign, there were some at Fox News who opposed the unlikely candidacy of non-politician outsider Donald Trump. However, once it became apparent that Trump was going to be the Republican party’s nominee, most of these Fox News staffers finally fell in line.
Shepard Smith Reporting host Shep Smith, unfortunately, was not one of them. If anything, he has ratcheted up his divisive rhetoric against our democratically elected President. His nasty treatment of President Trump reached a new low recently when he defended CNN after they were caught running a false news story about Trump and Russia.
Later, a video also revealed an executive at CNN stating that the network’s stories about Russia are “mostly bullshit” and that they have only been continuing this narrative because it brings in so many viewers.
Fox News’ Sean Hannity has been forcefully condemning CNN. He tweeted, “Does @CNN use More FAKE NEWS to COVER UP FAKE NEWS culture? I call total BS Press release by Zucker Stenographer.” He added, “Hey @Acosta Hey Tell your soon to be fired boss Jeff Zucker to tune in tonight 10 EST Hannity Fox News. Fair and Balanced. I have a message!”
Shep Smith, by contrast, actually praised CNN after the scandal. He said, “It’s like an example of how to do it. If you make a mistake, Journalism 101 says you admit your mistake, you correct it immediately, and you take corrective action. That’s what they did.” RINO Joe Scarborough of MSNBC actually went further, saying, “@CNN has more integrity on its worst day than Donald Trump has on his best.” Do you think Smith and Scarborough should get kicked out of the Republican party?
