When your history is one of century old tribal conflicts, where disputes are usually settled by violent confrontations and where stoning and honor killings are the prescribed and “lawful” part of your culturing upbringing, then it isn’t much of a stretch to assume that conforming within a civil society that frowns on such behavior, especially within a society that cherishes individual liberties can become a point of contention, that can easily turn violent.
Which apparently happened when a group of Christians began peacefully demonstrating in Dearborn, Michigan protesting a Muslim festival, when they were suddenly stoned and attacked by crazed Muslim thugs as they were holding up signs and peacefully exercising their Constitutional right to peacefully assemble. The unprovoked attack is reminiscent of what has become a series of pitched battles within those infamous “no-go zones” between Muslims and the cities they’ve inhabited, virtually turning large swats of neighborhoods into mini enclaves of shadowy Islamic governance, with their own tribal laws, and where the host countries fear to enter.
The Christian group filed a complaint with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit over an incident citing a First Amendment infringement.
The group’s leader Rubin Israel said that the group was exercising their right to protest the annual Arab International Festival, however perhaps even more disconcerting for the protesters was the tepid response from law enforcement who witnessed the unprovoked attack of Muslim thugs throwing rocks and bottles, injuring several protesters and doing nothing.
The excuse from the Wayne County sheriff’s office was that they were providing security for the event, which seems to be another politically correct strategy similar to what is taking place Europe.
Robert J. Muise, AFLC senior counsel said in a statement, “Whether you agree or disagree with the Christians’ message, there is one issue to which there is no dispute: no citizen should be stoned in a city street in America for exercising his constitutional right to freedom of speech.”
