Maxine Waters may have made a huge mistake when she decided to ‘test the patriotism’ of Trump supporters. On an MSNBC interview, Waters flipped out over President Trump’s interview with Putin.
“I’m questioning the patriotism of all of those Republicans who are allowing this president to side with Putin, to wrap his arms around Putin, and let Putin say ‘No, I didn’t do it. And you don’t have any proof that I did it. So forget it, let’s move on,’” said Waters.
“He went into this meeting with no note takers, no state people. And just he and [Secretary of State] Tillerson. They basically brought up the subject. Did not delve very deeply into why Putin and the people in the Kremlin and others may have been involved in this hacking. They didn’t talk about our intelligence agencies, 17 of them who have concluded that, yes they were involved in the hacking, the undermining of our elections,” said Waters.
First of all only 3 of the 17 agencies believed that Russia tried to influence our election. Also, President Trump confronted Putin about hacking in the meeting. Waters is just making a fool of herself.
I strongly pressed President Putin twice about Russian meddling in our election. He vehemently denied it. I’ve already given my opinion. We negotiated a ceasefire in parts of Syria which will save lives. Now it is time to move forward in working constructively with Russia!” tweeted President Trump.
