Iconic former The O’Reilly Report host Bill O’Reilly has been mostly keeping a low profile since he was ousted from Fox News earlier this year by 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch.
O’Reilly has been working on his own podcast and video projects on his personal website, as well as teasing ideas about bigger projects and potential collaborations with up and coming conservative networks that are competing with Fox News.
It would be extremely difficult if not impossible for Bill to use the name The O’Reilly Factor for any new show project, since that name is owned by Fox. However, it was recently divulged what name O’Reilly chose for his future program.
Eric Marston runs the website BillOreilly.com for O’Reilly, and he recently also registered two brand new domains for his boss, TheOreillyFocus.com and OreillyFocus.com. Said a source to the New York Daily News, “’Focus’ makes sense. It sounds like ‘Factor.’ He’s probably just covering all his bases by registering the domain name.”
O’Reilly had been in serious talks with the One America News Network, but unfortunately the negotiations ended up falling through. Commented OANN’s CEO Robert Herring via Twitter, “We are pulling offer to @billoreilly, it could have paid him more than he made at Fox. We wish him luck. #OANN” What do you think of the name The O’Reilly Focus? Should Bill produce it himself?
